Theo Majka has been a sociology professor in the University of Dayton’s International Studies program since 1981. His researches helped persuade the Dayton City Council to adopt a “Dayton Immigrant Friendly” initiative in 2012. Also called “Welcome Dayton,”

Dr Sara Paton is an associate professor of epidemiology in the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences. Dr. Paton is the director of the Master of Public Health Program, where she teaches epidemiology, community health assessment, and guest lectures in a variety of courses.

Dr. Gabriela Pickett is the Director of International Education at the Lynda A. Cohen Center for the Study of Child Development. Gabriela is also Vice-President of the International Cities of Peace. She is fluent in Spanish and board member of Welcome Dayton.
